About Me

My better half and II am in my early 30s. I am married, have 3 kids, and a dog. I live in Montebello, CA. While Montebello is my current home, I have spent most of my teenage years and early adulthood in Victorville, CA. I spent my childhood in Houston, TX, but I am originally from Mexico City.

I enjoy video games, movies, and music. I don’t get out as much as I should, but when I do I am usually at little league events with my kids or visiting family and friends. At the end of day, I am very much a geek. I spend a ton of my free time learning about technology and tinkering with it. Hence, my professional life…

While most of my memories of my childhood involve video games and getting into trouble with my friends, I hacked my first DOS-based learning software at the age of 8 and managed to write my first program when I was about 10 years old using BASIC  It was a simple text based boxing game. And although I tried vigorously to not end up a technology geek like my father, I eventually found myself in college persuing computer information systems for my A.S. degree from Victor Valley College and followed it with a B.S. in computer science from Cal Poly Pomona. I am presently working on my M.S. in computer science at Cal State Fullerton with an emphasis on artificial intelligence and machine learning.

I have been a student most of my life, but I have spent the more than ten years as an IT professional. Starting as help desk technical support phone jokey and doing computer repair, I eventually got into system adminstration. As my education progressed, I spent about five years as a network engineer for a major Internet service provider and eventually ended up as a developer for a fortune 500 company.
